ABOUT ME

I’m James and I’m currently training as an actor at The Lir. Although, in an old life, I did a Biology degree over in the UK, where I’m originally from. Other than theatre/film, I’m big on being in the outdoors and spend a lot of my time hiking/running/sea swimming or even just throwing a ball around!

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

I have extensive experience working in childcare. For 4 years now I have worked with children aged 3-11 at a coaching, holiday and after school club, particularly with the younger ages of 3-5 and with Special Educational Needs (SEN). I’ve also worked on the pastoral side of both residential and non residential revision courses for those a bit older, between the ages of 14-17. Outside of paid work, I take pilgrimage to Lourdes annually, caring for those with physical and mental disabilities (including children); have undergone paediatric first aid training and regularly undergo full DBS checks (the UK equivalent to Garda Vetting).

WHAT I’M INTERESTED IN

I’d be available to mind children aged upwards of 2, and more than happy to help with any activities from arts and crafts or homework, to getting outside for a bit! Additionally, with the relevant information on a child’s specific needs, I’d be more than able to mind those with SEN.
