First Up: No Exit by Jean-Paul Sartre
“Hell is other people.”

No Exit is a one-act play written by French philosopher and playwright Jean-Paul Sartre, and first performed in 1944. The narrative unfolds in a single, claustrophobic room in Hell, where three characters—Joseph Garcin, Inez Serrano, and Estelle Rigault—find themselves after their deaths.
The play explores themes of existentialism, particularly the concepts of self-identity, freedom, and the nature of human relationships. No Exit remains a profound commentary on the human condition, making it a pivotal work in existential literature and drama.

KEEPING VIGIL

by Oonagh Wall

A work in progress presentation.

Three friends reunite in their hometown on the eve of a funeral to stay awake overnight and keep vigil over the body. A bittersweet reunion becomes a nostalgic trip down memory lane as libations are poured and stories are retold. But as the night progresses, old tensions resurface and new secrets emerge. Nostalgia inevitably gives way to the present and old ties are tested by an uneasy reckoning with the past – and each other. Among the fraying loose ends and crumbling half-truths, will this night bring them back together or tear them apart?

LET’S TRY SWINGIN’

by Leo Hanna

Meet Lily and Jim, Tadgh and Flora – two couples dipping their toes into swinging for the first time, though no one will admit it. Behind monogamy’s closed doors, they navigate sexual frustration and the messy, unsexy reality of human relationships. This comedy explores the unwritten rules of swinging: talk first or dive in? Eat before or after? Why is there a pineapple on the door? With wine chilling, quiche in the oven, and Rennies at the ready, what could possibly go wrong?

Let’s Try Swingin’ is a group sex comedy of manners, written by Leo Hanna and directed by Finbarr Doyle.
